To track how your ads and SEO are performing, we need two small pieces of code installed on your website — the Meta Pixel and the Google Tag. Here's what they are and how to get them set up.
What these do
- Meta Pixel — tracks visitors from your Facebook and Instagram ads, so we know which ads are leading to real enquiries or sales
- Google Tag — connects your website to Google Analytics and Google Ads, so we can track traffic, conversions, and campaign performance
Without these, we're flying blind on what's actually working.
If we built your website
We'll handle this during setup. No action needed from you.
If you manage your own website
The easiest method is Google Tag Manager — one piece of code that manages everything from one place.
Step 1 — Create a Google Tag Manager account
- Go to tagmanager.google.com
- Create an account for your business and a Container for your website
- Copy the two code snippets Google gives you
- Paste them into your website — one in the <head> and one after the <body> tag
If you're on WordPress, the Site Kit by Google plugin can handle this without touching code.
Step 2 — Share access with us
- In Google Tag Manager, click Admin
- Under User Management, click the + button
- Add [email protected] with Publish access
Once we have access, we'll install your Meta Pixel and Google tags directly — no further action needed from you.
WordPress plugin option
If you prefer a plugin-based setup, Site Kit by Google connects Analytics, Search Console, and Ads in a few clicks. We can walk you through this on a call if needed.
